Breastfeeding Photo Mini-Session $50 per appointmentA credit card is required to enroll but isn't charged until the time of service.

Where do these sessions take place?
I use a small corner of the classroom at Modern Milk where there is privacy. There is a brick background that I use. Because of Covid, I recommend bringing your own blanket (something neutral) to sit or lay on during the session? I bring with me a gray flokati rug that I will spray with disinfectant after each use as well. There will be a chair available that I will sanitize after each use. You can nurse however you are comfortable- sitting, laying down, standing, etc.

What should you wear?
First and foremost, I want you to feel beautiful, so I always recommend mamas wearing something they feel like they shine in. I recommend wearing a dress or top where you can easily access your breasts. You can see examples from past years in the following blog post to help you get an idea of what to expect: https://www.yellowroomphoto.com/breastfeeding-mini-session

Covid-19 Safety Precautions- PLEASE READ COMPLETELY:
As masks are required in businesses, please wear your mask into Modern Milk. I will have you remove it when we start shooting, then put it back on when we are finished. I will wear a mask during the entire session. There will be sanitizer available when you arrive. I will be sanitizing my hands and gear at the beginning and end of each session. If you or your baby are feeling sick at all OR if you have been exposed to Covid in the last 14 days, please call to cancel your session. The health and safety of your family and mine is of utmost importance to me.

What’s included?
One digital image with printing rights. You will receive a gallery of at least 10 images to choose from. You will have the opportunity to purchase the remainder of the images in the gallery for $35/image or $200 for the entire gallery. You can also purchase prints or other products if you would like.

Modern Milk offers both In-Store and In-Home Lactation Consultations Monday through Saturday.

You may book in-store appointments 24 hours (or more) in advance, online or over the phone. A credit card is required to hold your appointment and a $75 fee will be charged for no shows or cancellations within 24 hours of your consultation. For an In-home appointment or for a consultation with multiples, please call our Scottsdale Store during business hours at (480) 999-1585.

If you do not find an appointment time that works for you through our online booking or if you are in looking for a same day appointment, please call our Scottsdale store during business hours at (480) 999-1585. We will work with you to find an appointment time.

About the appointment:

In-Store Lactation rooms are complete with a couch for Dad and other family members. Our consultations usually last 1-1.5 hours allowing us time to talk and evaluate a full feeding.

We also have a hospital-grade scale to tell us how much milk baby takes in during a feeding, which most moms find helpful and reassuring. Many breastfeeding challenges can be resolved in one visit and others can be more of a work-in-progress.

Either way, we will work with you to create a breastfeeding plan that you feel comfortable with and will follow-up with you as needed. You will receive education information as well as a customized summary of our visit via email.

You'll also receive a complimentary month of fitness classes at Modern Milk when you're ready to resume physical activity.

At this time, we do not accept insurance but we can provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Most of our clients find that they can be reimbursed for some-if not all- of the appointment after the session.
