Before the holiday season gets into full swing, come and enjoy a Restorative Yoga practice as we rest deeply in postures for several minutes, allowing the body to relax, reset, and restore. Taking the time to get still and surrender reminds the heart and spirit of all there is to be thankful for. In this gentle practice, blankets, bolsters, blocks and other props are used to allow the body to fully relax one posture at a time. The longer holds allow the physical body to let go, the mind to quiet, and the breath to soften. Deep relaxation boosts the immune system and relieves fatigue, anxiety and insomnia, just what every mama needs. Yogis only need to bring an open mind and heart, but may also want to bring a soft, cozy blanket, eye pillow, a scarf or wrap. No yoga experience necessary.
