Lactation Support
All nursing parents can benefit from lactation support and we are here to help! We offer a variety of in-person and virtual consultations with an IBCLC to help you establish your perfect breastfeeding relationship.
Modern Milk offers In-Office and Virtual Lactation Consultations Monday thru Saturday.
Booking and Cancellations:
You may book in-store appointments 12 hours (or more) in advance, online or over the phone. A credit card is required to hold your appointment and a $100 fee will be charged for no shows or cancellations within 12 hours of your consultation. For a consultation with multiples, please call or email us to book an appointment.
If you do not find an appointment time that works for you through our online booking or if you are in looking for a same day appointment, please call our store during business hours at (480) 999-1585. We will work with you to find an appointment time!
Using insurance for the visit:
Your visit may be covered by insurance through The Lactation Network! Use this link to see if you're covered.
If you are out of network, we can provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Most of our clients find that they can be reimbursed for some-if not all- of the appointment after the session.

In-Office Lactation Consultation $175 per appointment A credit card is required to enroll but isn't charged until the time of service.
During an in-office appointment you will meet privately with an IBCLC in our comfortable lactation room, complete with a sofa and plenty of room for your partner, family or support persons. Consultations last approximately 1-1.5 hours allowing us time to talk about your breastfeeding concerns, answer questions and evaluate a full feeding.
A hospital-grade scale will be used during the consult to help us see how much milk baby drinks during a feeding, which most parents find helpful and reassuring. Many breastfeeding challenges can be resolved in one visit and others can be more of a work-in-progress. Either way, we will work with you to create a breastfeeding plan that you feel comfortable with and will follow-up with you as needed. Follow-up visits are offered to lactation clients at a reduced rate.
A hospital-grade scale will be used during the consult to help us see how much milk baby drinks during a feeding, which most parents find helpful and reassuring. Many breastfeeding challenges can be resolved in one visit and others can be more of a work-in-progress. Either way, we will work with you to create a breastfeeding plan that you feel comfortable with and will follow-up with you as needed. Follow-up visits are offered to lactation clients at a reduced rate.
In-Office Lactation Consultation Follow-Up $99 per appointment A credit card is required to enroll but isn't charged until the time of service.
It can take a few visits to work through breastfeeding challenges and to feel confident about breastfeeding! If you met with one of our IBCLC's and need more guidance, come back and see us for a 60 minute followup (must be a current lactation client to book this appointment). If your insurance was approved through The Lactation Network, your followup visits will be covered at 100%.
In-Office Lactation Consultation TWINS $225 per appointment A credit card is required to enroll but isn't charged until the time of service.

In-Office Lactation Consultation Follow-Up TWINS $150 per appointment No purchase required to enroll

If your insurance was approved through The Lactation Network, your followup visits will be covered at 100%.
Virtual Lactation Consult $125 per appointment A credit card is required to enroll but isn't charged until the time of service.
Virtual Consults are one hour and held via Zoom. You will receive an email with Zoom meeting information.

Phone Lactation Consult A credit card is required to enroll but isn't charged until the time of service.
Short on time? Can’t make it to the store? A 30 minute phone consult is the perfect way to get expert answers to your breastfeeding questions.
Common reasons for a phone consult include:
-Low supply/increasing supply
-Pumping help and questions
-Returning to work
-Weaning
